The Business Matching (BizMatch) session held in conjunction with MPOC’s Trade & Networking Visit for African Buyers generated strong commercial outcomes, with 112 business meetings conducted and an estimated US$38 million (RM182 million) in potential sales recorded. The programme brought together 10 prominent industry representatives from oils and fats companies across seven African countries, facilitating structured engagements with Malaysian palm oil producers and product manufacturers. The BizMatch platform enabled in-depth discussions on sourcing requirements, supply capabilities and long-term trade opportunities. Products of interest included crude palm oil (CPO), refined bleached deodorised (RBD) palm olein in both consumer packs and bulk containers, cooking oil, shortening, specialty fats, oleochemical products and palm wax. The diversity of buyer interest, covering both bulk and packed products, reflected the broad application of Malaysian palm oil across African markets. The positive response to the BizMatch session reinforced Africa’s importance as a growth market and underscored MPOC’s continued efforts to connect Malaysian suppliers with high-potential importing regions through targeted trade engagement platforms.
